Weighing in at over 140,000 tons, the Royal Princess is the biggest and best ship in Princess Cruises’ line. This behemoth first went out to sea in June of 2013, after it was christened by Kate Middleton in her last public appearance before giving birth. The ship is capable of carrying 3,560 passengers, and it offers amenities on top of amenities.
The Royal Princess has a total of 1,780 cabins, and the vast majority of those cabins come with their own private balconies. Although there are so many cabins, it’s worth noting that the Royal Princess never feels too crowded. That’s because the shipwrights who designed it placed a premium on the comfort of the ship’s passengers. Currently, the Royal Princess is operating out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and is offering a variety of different cruises to and through various regions around the world, most frequently the Eastern Caribbean.
