Royal Caribbean has been very busy in recent years, looking to expand upon its reputation as one of the finest cruise lines in the world. In addition to launching the biggest ships on the seven seas (the Oasis-class ships), Royal Caribbean has also been busy giving some of its older ships a facelift. This list of older ships that have received massive upgrades over the past year or so includes the Voyager of the Seas, which received its retrofit in the fall of 2014.
This retrofit added many of the features and amenities that guests have come to expect from Royal Caribbean’s newest ships. For example, the retrofit included adding the Flowrider surfing simulator and a wonderful inline skating track. In addition to this, other cosmetic changes have been made. For example, the Portofino restaurant, which should be familiar to Royal Caribbean fans, has been changed to a more upscale Italian restaurant called Giovanni’s Table… And that’s just the beginning!
In the 25 pictures that follow, you’ll get to see everything else that makes the Voyager of the Seas a classic cruise ship. We’ll show you some of the recent upgrades, and give you a chance to see the other features that have long made this cruise ship one of the best in the world.
