The Explorer of the Seas is one of the older ships currently in Royal Caribbean’s line, and its also one of the most recent to receive a massive upgrade. In fact, the ship entered dry dock in 2015, when it was outfitted with a number of Royal Caribbean’s latest marquee features, including the FlowRider surfing simulator and an inline skating track.
The improvements look good on the Explorer of the Seas and have brought her into the same rarefied air occupied by Royal Caribbean’s newer and bigger ships like the Allure of the Seas and the Oasis of the Seas. As you’ll see in the photographs that follow, you can find almost all of the same high-quality features and amenities aboard the Explorer of the Seas as you can find aboard ships that were only recently launched.
So, let’s take a quick tour of this ship, which is an oldie but a goodie within the Royal Caribbean line. As you’ll see, this ship remains one of the very finest in the world and could very well prove to be the ideal vessel for your next cruising vacation!
